The Emirati Children’s Day is an occasion to renew commitment towards the rights of children and affirm the fact that embracing, educating and guiding children is a national educational task and societal responsibility, its purpose is to prepare future generations to continue the accomplishments and development of the nation and enhance the pioneering role of the United Arab Emirates at international levels.

The directives of Her Highness Sheikha Fatima Bint Mubarak, Chairwoman of the General Women's Union, President of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood and Supreme Chairwoman of the Family Development Foundation, who called for marking the Emirati Children’s Day on 15^th March each year, coincides with the date of the approval of the Child Protection Law  called as “Wadeema” in the Official Gazette in 2016, reflects the UAE interests in future generations and the importance of raising them according to the cultures and traditions of the nation and the wise leadership’s instructions to prepare generations who will keep pace with giving, tolerance, fraternity and development.

The Ministry of Community Development is committed to achieve best care for children based on the Child Protection Law “Wadeema” and its executive by-laws which harnesses all possibilities for the preparation of generations to be capable of taking the social and national responsibilities. The role of families and parents in raising their children and fulfilling their psychological and social needs reflects the aspirations of younger generations positively for the welfare of their future and nation.
