Events in the UAE

The UAE has an eventful calendar all year round. The country receives several thousand visitors around the year. Global Village is a big draw. Expo 2020 is forecasted to be the UAE’s biggest event. It will be held from 20 October 2020 to 10 April 2021 in the Dubai South district, adjacent to Al Maktoum International Airport. The UAE has several permanent exhibition spaces such as Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre, Dubai World Trade Centre and Expo Centre Sharjah.

The National Month of Reading 2019

The UAE set March as the month of reading. Every year, March will be observed as the month of reading. All educational and cultural institutions, governmental and private, will launch initiatives, projects and programmes that stimulate the community to read and make reading a daily habit for all across the country.
