Energy Congress in Abu Dhabi 2019 under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan (May God protect him), President of the United Arab Emirates on 9-12 September 2019.

The 24th World Energy Congress, under the theme “Energy for Prosperity” is the first of its kind to be held in the Middle East. The UAE will be the first Arab country to host the conference throughout its 95-year history. The Conference will bring together world leaders to identify an innovative and sustainable strategy for the future of the energy sector based on mutual cooperation that contributes to achieving the social and commercial prosperity. 

Hosting such an event in Abu Dhabi proves that the UAE has become an international hub in the energy industry spectrum and has a leading position in accelerating the growth of the global economy. The 24th World Energy Congress will be an opportunity for the world to see the universal development witnessed by the UAE and the advanced economic growth, to explore the rich investment opportunities that the State has in the sectors of energy and insurance and other economic and financial sectors.

Through the sponsorship of the 24th World Energy Congress in Abu Dhabi, the Insurance Authority will strive to shed light on the capabilities of the UAE insurance market, which has become a regional hub for international companies operating in the field of insurance and the provision of various insurance services, in line with the objectives of the Authority that include the development and organization of the insurance sector.

The provision of adequate insurance coverage in the energy sector is crucial to protecting enterprises against the risks of unforeseen events, given the vital role of the insurance sector in serving the national economy and providing economic and social protection.

The endeavours of the Insurance Authority have been successful, as this sponsorship was launched in cooperation with the concerned authorities and organizers in support of this distinguished conference.
