The Emirati women’s contributions to the organisational, national and cultural development of the UAE are being cemented since the establishment of the UAE by the founding father, late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, may Allah rest his soul in peace, and his founding brethren. This has been achieved thanks to the empowerment they received by the UAE wise leadership in all fields of knowledge, work and production, offering them an environment suitable for their gender and social status. As a result, Emirati woman has acquired all the necessary competence to assume the highest of leading, executive and administrative positions

As part of the process to empower women, the UAE astute leadership has also attributed a high status to the mothers and wives of the nation’s martyrs, those being the makers of the national and Arab glories, noting that the process of empowerment was supported by the gender impartiality legislations that were laid in accordance with the principles of Islam and the heritage of the UAE.
